Material

When you order a Piro, your artwork is printed 'on demand' in the printing company. The artwork will then be sent directly to you from one of the printing companies.

I currently work with three materials:

  • aluminum (dibond)
  • canvas
  • poster

WHAT IS WHAT?

Aluminium

  • most chosen
  • 3mm thick
  • fine art print
  • indoor and outdoor use
  • incl. 'profile' on the back, can be hung with 2 screws at the same height in the wall
  • environmentally friendly

A white top layer, also known as dibond, is applied to my aluminum artworks. This top layer fills in the missing white that a printer normally does not print completely. This means you do not see any aluminum material or color.

The appearance of the artwork is modern, 'tough and strong'. A Piro on dibond is printed on the Durst P10, a powerful fine-art printer at 1,200 dpi with rho UV ink. The quality is so high that the artwork is worthy of a museum and exhibition.

You can clean the aluminum artwork with a damp cloth, as the material is completely moisture resistant.

All materials and inks used are environmentally friendly.

Canvas

  • 3 cm thick frame
  • matte (no gloss)
  • super tight
  • for indoor use only
  • environmentally friendly

Canvas artworks are stretched piece by piece using specially developed machines. These fully automatic machines stretch the canvas very accurately to the perfect tension. This means that a Piro on canvas will remain in perfect condition for many years to come. The canvas cloths used have been tested as the best for years.

The canvas can only be carefully wiped with a soft and dry duster. Matte canvas is not suitable for cleaning with water and a cleaning agent.

All materials and inks used are environmentally friendly.

Posters

Luster photo paper is a popular type among photographers and specialists. In terms of appearance, the paper is somewhere between high-gloss and (satin) matt. The material is an excellent choice for achieving a high-quality photo print. The photos are printed with an Epson SureColor. A reliable and good brand for photo prints. The printer is equipped with the latest generation of dual Epson PrecisionCore TFP print heads and uses Epson UltraChrome GS3 inks.
